This important collection of art works has been carefully assembled with the intention of highlighting the relationship between the most important 18th-century artists of the region and the wider context of Modern Italian Art. We can identify a Futurist strain to which artists of the Marche have given their contribution and left their mark, of the so-called "Roman School", led by Gino Bonichi, known as Scipione; the Metaphysical style and Italian Abstractionism are well represented. Thus the Gallery constitutes a nucleus of Modern Art that offers ample stimuli for the study of the local panorama, which is interwoven with the vaster scene of the art avant-garde in Italy and Europe. Fortunately for the general public, the collection is constantly being enlarged.
